REGIONALISM

In the Southeast Alabama region, we believe that regionalism is key to success. We know that when we work together, we can accomplish more than any one county could alone. That’s why we’ve formed Grow Southeast Alabama: a coalition of 11 counties working together towards our economic development goals.

Regionalism is the key to solving large issues. Some issues are too large for any one unit of government to tackle alone. Grow Southeast Alabama has the experience, data and expertise to lead holistic area-wide planning. Our broad regional lens allows us to plan for a future with better regional connections, more efficient infrastructure, and collaborative industry and business recruitment. We help make our cities, counties and region a better place by bringing together multiple stakeholders from our communities.

Our region’s population is growing, and it’s changing. Regionalism is a collaborative approach that brings together the leaders of our region’s areas to address challenges facing residents and businesses alike. Regionalism allows us to be more efficient with limited resources by working together to identify regional needs and determine how best to meet them through a unified effort.
